Thank you for your interest in a Charity Membership of the RDS.

By becoming an RDS Member, you are joining a tradition that has supported Ireland for almost 300 years. Founded in 1731, the aim of the RDS remains the same today: to help Ireland thrive culturally and economically.

Through sharing ideas and encouraging new thinking across the arts, agriculture, enterprise, equestrianism, and science, the RDS continues to celebrate indigenous success, showcase excellence, and reward innovation. We believe that investing in people is an investment in Ireland’s future success.

As an RDS Member, you directly support the Society’s philanthropic Foundation programmes, across agriculture, arts, enterprise, science, equestrianism, and the RDS Library & Archives.

To support the valuable work of fellow charities, the RDS offers a Charity Membership at a preferential rate, enabling access a wide range of membership benefits that can support your mission and growth, including networking opportunities, discounted venue hire, and spaces to collaborate, connect and innovate.

To apply for the RDS Charity Membership, please note the following:

Applicants must be a registered charity and provide their registered charity number as part of the application.
Membership is granted to two nominees: the Chairperson and one Senior Executive.
Membership operates on a calendar year basis and is subject to approval by the Trustee Council.

To submit an application for Charity Membership, simply complete the form below in full, and your application will be reviewed by the RDS Trustee Council. More information about the approval process for your application can be found in the application confirmation email.

If nominated individuals would like to begin enjoying Membership benefits immediately, they will have the opportunity to avail of a temporary card after applying.

Membership Fees
Admissions occur on the 1st of each month, with applications closing on the third Thursday of each month.

For our Members' convenience, the RDS is now offering Memberships for periods of 16 to 13 months for the remainder of the 2026 application period. As such, Memberships starting on 1st September through to 1st December 2026 will run until 31st December 2027, and can thereafter be renewed on an annual basis.

On admission, a pro-rata invoice based on the below fee will be issued.
